Scholarships in Iranian Studies at SOAS, University of London

SOAS, University of London, is pleased to announce the availability of several scholarships in its newly launched Master of Iranian Studies.

These scholarships are offered to UK/EU and overseas fee-paying SOAS students,
thanks to the generosity of the Fereydoun Djam Charitable Trust,
who has provided a contribution towards fees of between £3,000 and £13,000 each year for the duration of the award.
Details about the application process can be accessed at the SOAS scholarship website.

The Centre for Iranian Studies Chair Arshin Adib-Moghaddam welcomed the “unique and generous” opportunity that the scholarships provide.
The Kamran Djam scholarships are a part of a decisive push for Iranian Studies at SOAS facilitated by the Centre for Iranian Studies at the London Middle East Institute (LMEI).

The Centre was established in 2010 and draws upon the range of academic research and teaching across the disciplines of SOAS,
including Languages and Literature, the Study of Religions, History, Economics, Politics,
International Relations, Music, Art and Media and Film Studies. The Centre aims to build close relations with likeminded institutions and
to showcase and foster the best of contemporary Iranian talent in art and culture. The members of CIS have spearheaded the establishment of the first interdisciplinary Master in Iranian Studies which will be offered,
 fully equipped with scholarships,
from the academic year 2013/2014 onwards.
